This film really challenged me to put down my phone and not check my news feed every 20 minutes. I was absolutely glued to the screen because of the intriguing story and interesting characters. The cinematography is breathe taking and the music is worthy of mainstream recognition. Once the film finished I was left feeling as if I was in a void - not happy or angry but rather just "there" I really do think this is what the director wanted. Throughout the film we get presented with the notion of life not going in the exact direction we plan it to go in. The ending left me feeling exactly that. And rather than taking the easy way out and delivery a cliché ending, the director leaves it to the audience to feel their own emotions and really allows you to get into the characters psyche. The film reminded me of Gone Girl and reading the films spec, they did a great job for $150,000. Would highly recommend.
After a violent home invasion leaves him in a coma and his wife deeply traumatized, a mild-mannered husband awakens to find out that one of the attackers is still on the loose. As they try to move on with their lives, one day his nearly-despondent wife spots the attacker, opening up a twisted tale of brutal revenge where all isn't as it seems.
